A chill in the Air

I woke up this morning to my usual routine (I am a creature of habit)- coffee out on the porch. I am pleased to say that I actually caught a chill! Fall is here! Hallelujah! 

While I sat on our porch, shivering,I suddenly thought of a trip I made to Paris one winter. I love nothing more than sitting outside & Paris is full of outdoor cafes. I was totally taken by the fact that these cafes actually had big, wool blankets draped over the chairs so that, despite the weather (it actually snowed while I was there & let me tell you, Paris covered in snow is a sight to behold) I could still sit outside.

I must order wool blankets! I am imagining this old basket I found in the barn filled with them. Pair this basket of blankets with a huge outdoor fire pit & I think we will enjoy every but of the cool weather to come!
