Every Cowgirl Needs Her Cowboy

I have to give credit where credit is due. While I have always dreamt of living out in the country, I could never do it without Darden. Farm living is definitely a two person job! Seriously, I think we could significantly lower the divorce rate by moving everyone out to the country & forcing them to live on a farm. Thankfully, I am crazy about my husband (and I am pretty sure that he is also crazy about me) so we are safe...BUT, I can honestly see why couples back in the day would think much harder before leaving their spouse. Living in the country really makes you aware of how much your partner does and how much easier they make your life.

We spent the holiday weekend working on various projects around the house. Darden installed an invisible fence so that our dogs can enjoy the entire property, he tilled an area for my new garden, bush hogged our field, starting installing our new landscape lighting, and cleaned up the mess of limbs left behind by Hurricane Irene. I planted our winter vegetables, made too many trips to Lowes to count, put together our guest room for our friends who were visiting & prepared for a cook out dinner that we hosted Sunday night. Are you starting to see my point?

Anyway, we had a wonderful time with our friends & got a ton done!
