Easy Pillow Covers

Yes, it is boring now but think of the possibilities! There is fabric paint, stencils, crocheted doilies, vintage buttons, photo transfers....the options are endless!

I have misplaced the power cord to my sewing machine so I have been borrowing my mom. She wants it back. BOO! I woke up this morning thinking....what quick gift can I bang out before heading to work where I will be forced to hand my mom's machine over. PILLOWS! Who doesn't need more pillows?

As I have mentioned before- I am just getting back into sewing & my skills are a bit rusty. Thankfully, I found a wonderful tutorial by "Crafty Gemini" on envelope style pillow covers. It truly is the best tutorial I have found...this woman assumes you know nothing. Her instructions are thorough & easy to follow. I suggest you check it out. Trust can do this!

I stuck to my favorite, basic painter's cloth thinking that it would be a good basic cover that I could customize to the tastes of anyone on my Christmas list.

The total project took under 30 minutes. That includes cutting, pressing & sewing!

Now go get your craft on!
